Introduction

Toshr moved slowly through the elegant halls of the temple; crowds of worshipers gathered ready to begin. As he approached the exit trying not to attract attention, the chants began. The Tears of Chur’s rite. He had discovered that it was originally a purification rite where children were blessed… and now? How could it have come to…this?

As he walked away he heard the screams of the young people spreading all around the temple…

His father, King Kylior, passed away only a few weeks ago. Now it was his turn. He would rule over Kadaar. He had spent the night in the Sacred Room, immersed in the fumes of the burning braziers and the strong smell of incense. In the morning he had to immerse himself in the sacred waters of the Dhur River, and then be anointed with perfumed oils. The High Priest of Arth, god of Light, the only divinity accepted in the Kingdom, would have consecrated him; he would have reigned with His Blessing and no one could have opposed it. He looked at the High Priest and bent down; her behavior with that man in the next few days would seal his fate. Like that of all the kings for two hundred years now….

She was back to the big market in GreenFall. No one would ever recognize her again; a few years before she had abandoned everything; her rich life as a daughter of merchants, her friendships, everything. She had gone off into the mountains to pray, looking for something. And finally enlightenment had come; He had revealed himself in the form of Wind. She had interpreted its sounds and was now ready to reveal His will to the world. She starts preaching out loud; slowly people began to stop to listen to her…

 

PURPOSE OF THE GAME

The game simulates the story of a cult; starting from its origins, with a series of simple ideas, you will be able to decide its evolution over time.

You will be able to create a cult and see if it survives the course of history or if it is destined to become a disappeared religion.

The game is designed to be played solo but multiplayer modes are presented in the final paragraph “Other ways to play ”.

Those who play more classic RPGs will be able to use this as a system to create their own cults and religions and see how they have evolved.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

To play you will need a sheet of paper, a pencil, an eraser, a deck of cards, two ten-sided dice (or at least one) and... your imagination!
